Needed.org opens first office in Eastbourne

Needed Foundation, Eastbourne Office

Needed Foundation has opened its first office in the coastal town of Eastbourne, East Sussex. Our mission is to create long term solutions for the provision of basic human needs such as acommodation and food.

The Cost of Living Crisis is often felt most acutely in Britain’s coastal towns, with some of our most disadvantaged communities based in the South East of England. Eastbourne was the first town in the UK to declare a cost-of-living emergency in 2022 and is home to one of the country’s busiest food banks.

Eastbourne MP Josh Babarinde recently raised the issue in Parliament, stating that street homelessness in Eastbourne was “more stark than I’ve ever known”.
